Pyramido - Salt LP

What happens when you mix a Melvins and an Iron Monkey? You might get a Pyramido, I can tell you that much. Because this is howling like only Johnny Morrow only could when he was alive. Because this is good, slow and heavy. There are also parts here that remind me of old Mogwai and Breach. Big fat drum sound, slow breakdowns all over the place, guitars and bass blaring and this voice on top of it all. "Salt" is Pyramido's second full length album, their fifth overall release. Opener "Walking Blind" grabs your attention and the album never really lets go. At the end of the album's last song; "Dr. Milton (Destroyer of the World)", you wonder where the time went, -and then you most likely hit the play button again. This simply is a continuation of Sweden's metal lineage, which is paved with great bands. These guys have done their homework, there really isn't anything to pick at here.
